Sybil

Sibyl is a photobooth vending machine that takes your heartbeat as payment. Place your finger on the sensor and the machine reads your pulse, then prints a unique thermal receipt output, indexed to a news archive. The work draws on the growing popularity of FemTech and clinical systems that reduce bodies to data, treating the visitor's heartbeat as both biometric proof and parts of the product. Housed in an aluminium enclosure with a clinical, vending-machine aesthetic, Sibyl treats the visitor as material for its own production process, simplified into data and dispensed back to them as a printed product.
